Cool Tech and Smart Tools: Interesting Vendors We Met at ICRS 2025
The International Car Rental Show is a great opportunity to connect with people who support the rental industry—and this year didn’t disappoint.
Beyond the networking and panels, the vendor hall was packed with tools designed to save time, boost revenue, and solve some of the rental industry's most frustrating pain points.
Here are some of the vendors and solutions that stood out:
Vehicle Inspection: From Apps to AI Scanners
Record360 offers a simple, app-based solution that lets you record vehicle condition with your phone. Great for smaller fleets or those wanting to ditch paper inspections.
On the other end of the spectrum, UVeye impressed with their high-end, drive-through scanners that automatically capture body, and tire condition in seconds. Not for every fleet—but powerful if you're managing volume and want to streamline turnaround times.
Dynamic Pricing:
Getting pricing right is make-or-break in today’s competitive rental market. Rate Driven Solutions offers real-time dynamic pricing designed specifically for independent car rental operators. Think airline-style pricing strategies but made for our industry. It’s worth a look if you want to stay competitive without adjusting rates manually all day.
Telematics:
TrackerWise stood out with their high-quality vehicle tracking hardware and awesome global support. For agencies that manage international fleets—or just want more reliable, responsive hardware—this one had great feedback from current users. Plus, there is no minimum buy-in. You can start with a single vehicle!
Help with Remarketing:
At the event, a speaker said that rental agencies are in the business of buying and selling vehicles; they just happen to rent them in between. Copart is trying to help agencies by providing a global platform to help you get the best resale value.
Smoking Detection:
One of the more unique solutions we saw was Bosch’s in-vehicle smoke detection tech. Their system automatically detects smoke in the cabin and can trigger escalating charges for repeat offenders. For agencies tired of missed smoke damage or cleaning fees disputes—this could be a game-changer.
Other Helpful Vendors
Lot Security providers had some interesting options for deterring theft or break-ins, especially for off-airport lots.
Vehicle Transport Services—for one-way rentals or seasonal rebalancing, there were a few providers offering regional and cross-country transport options.
Specialty Cleaning Chemicals specifically designed for odor and smoke removal were being demoed live (some with surprisingly good results).
Onsite Vehicle Maintenance services are gaining traction, offering mobile mechanics to help reduce downtime without needing to tow a vehicle off-site.
Videface.app offered a mix of key management and remote assistance—a helpful tool if you run remote locations or after-hours pick-ups.
Childsource.com specializes in car seats for rentals, including assistance with installation and support; making it easier to meet customer requests without compromising safety or compliance.

This year’s ICRS felt especially focused on solving real-world problems for independent operators—exactly the kind of vendors we like to connect with.
